" What had been done to the same client before the incident: 4 facial laser treatments; 2 under arm laser treatments; plus one successful Brazilian laser treatment. Then the incident occurred on the last treatment.

We used the same parameter (energy) for both Brazilian treatments. Service duration: _5_ weeks.

Re: Laser Burned. I had a similiar experience at a different clinic. I went for 6 laser sessions,and the on the 7th session I got slightly burned even though they used the same strength setting for the laser. I got really angry at them, but then I found out that things like extremley hot outdoor temperatures and weak immune systems can cause that to happen. I had recently been ill. I wanted to go back because theyn did a good job until that incident on the 7th session, but I was too embarassed cuz I yelled at them

Now I go to Elan Beauty and I love what those girls do. I have just finished my lower leg laser treatments. I actually thought I had to do more sessions, but they told me not to spend any more money because I was at the limit for what laser can do for me. They told me to finish off with Electrolysis, and that would save me money in the end. I really appreciated their honesty. You don't find that with alot of businesses. Plus, I love what they do. They seem to be very "results" orientated.

I have had my armpits, lower legs, and my va-jay-jay done there and I recommend them to everyone. I'm also going to get upper eyelash extentions next week. I saw 2 gilrs leaving with the most amazing lashes when I was last there! I couldn't believe they were fake because they were so natural looking!

Ive been using Elan services for over 6 months  trying a few, sticking with one for now. They did a pretty good job overall.

They phoned and offered a $20 coupon to do the ballot. Didnt vote for them in all categories theyd suggested though. If I had a business and were confident with the quality of my services, Id ask my clients to vote for me as well. Why not? Itd be both a fantastic PR opportunity, and a chance to reward my loyal clients.

I have had laser hair removal procedures before at different places. I decided to go to Elan Beauty after my friend tried their electrolylsis. When i went there,the owner Tamy told me that i had too much hair for the electrolylsis and it will be better if we start with laser.

The next day of my first treatment, i realized that i had nail marks all over my face. I never had that problem before. I went to see them cuz i was totally freaked out. She used some chemical peeling to erase the marks. Anyways I was glad that worked so I kept going there. After some months i decided to have laser hair removal for bikini area. First time wasn't too bad besides seeing that they actually missed lots of areas and the hair on those areas were coming as normal as they were before the treatment. The second treatment was a nightmare. I was almost crying in the bus after the treatment because of the unbearable pain. I put ice and aleo vera gel all over the area. I covered it with gauze, put some polysporin but nothing helped. This is 5th day after the treatment and i am afraid of going to the washroom because of the pain. I went to see a doctor today and she was shocked. The only thing that she was able to say was "Oo my God I am sorry,I am so sorry. Oo my God!!!". There are ulcers all over and some dark blackish marks. So the long story short, I absolutely don't recommend Elan Beauty. I should have stopped going there when i saw those nail marks all over my face.

P.S. 1.They act like this happens to everybody but it doesn't. I have lots of friends and family members who had laser and non of them had that problem before. 2. They gave all the customers $20 off to vote for them in Georgia Straight's annual 'Best of Vancouver' ballot for 2010. The best place to have lash extentions. Tammy curls the lashes and dips them in the non-toxic glue to keep their curl before attatching them to my natural lashes. After a month they still retain their original curl. Amazing!

The most amazing eyelash extentions in town. They use a non toxic glue that lasts almost 1 month. It's a bit more expensive, but it is so worth it. Beware though, they were late for every appointment I ever had.

I have only expeI was originally from Spain, I have fair skin with dark hair. At first, an estimation of 8-10 of treatments were suggested to me in order for me to get hair removed from my underarms and bikini but with 4 treatments of ND:Yag there was 15% reduction every session. An additional 2 treatments of Alexandrite, 80% reduction in hair growth. Amazing results!!

I was an loyal client of Dina's.but unfortunely she is no longer there anymore.I had called to ask if there was any way that I could get in-touch of her?But i was unsuccessful! The manager had said that she was the one that trained all the estheticians at Elan,. But Dina was the only one that had introduced me to (hard wax) that she used in her country.. I had correction to remove my previous eyebrow tattoo.  I was scared at first, but Tammy reassured me throughout.  She was very sensitive to my pain, sensitivities.  When I feel the pain (which was very minimun) she would apply extra numing cream immediate relieve.  Her post care advice is excellent!  I have no scar!  I can't say enough praise!  The procedure was only about 30 minutes.  It was very comfortable and, strangely enough, an enjoyable experience.  The team's artistic eyes have giving me the eyebrows I've always wanted!.

 

Really worth it!

The Eyelash Extensions is a surreal experience. I have SHAKY HANDS and cannot apply false eyelashes my slef. Thanks Tammy.

The girls at Elan also recomended using the "Pigment Bar by PCA" My life was changed, I couldnt really belive what was happening in front of my eyes.

This is why I must come back every 3 weeks. This darling "Elan" is my retreat, to fix the skin issues at 40 years old.

Because of the need to wear a heart monitor for a medical test, my chest hair was partially shaved. Noticing a little hair on my back, neck, and shoulders and with the now funny patch on my chest, I decided to get a wax. This was my first time. I only met two of the Elan team (Dina and Tammy). They both are friendly, courteous and professional and managed to put me somewhat at ease right away. The procedure was explained to me and was started out slowly  - all the while I was asked if I was okay with this. (I must have looked the part of a nervous wimp.)  In short, my treatment session was a very positive experience. We even shared a few laughs. I left the salon feeling very positive. My skin feels and looks great. I actually think that this makes me look younger. (Now to tan up.)

 

I have made another appointment (this time for a massage) and do believe that I will become a frequent and regular waxer. I do think that it alters my appearance in a positive way. Tammy was particularly kind, gentle, and thoughtful and proffered solid advice for skin care. I heartily recommend Elan! To me it is remarkable that I entered the salon feeling quite trepidatous but that I left feeling positively buoyed for my treatment. Caring, thoughtful, skilled people with a professional demeanour can have that effect.

I have had lash extensions in done in Yale town.  I even had the most expensive mink lash extensions.  I live in North Vancouver, but after three lash extension sessions at Elan Beauty, I am convinced that I had found a place for safe, beautiful and last long extensions

I was very pleased with my electrolysis and will be getting more in other areas. Tammy was very sweet and patient with me. She said my eyebrows looked good but could she do them. I couldnt stop looking at them on my way home. She did such a great job! I will stop doing them myself and only go to her. I have had my eyebrows done by other people so many times and never been happy so I resorted to doing them myself.

Tammy also fully educated me on skin care. I realized I was doing a lot of things wrong and could have ended up with hyperpigmentation problems worse than I have.

Even with all my experience in this industry I was truly blow away. She really knows what she is doing. A true professional.

I would recommend Elan to anyone. I have put their card up in the lunch room at work.

My experience at Élan Beauty was wonderful. I had my eyebrows done permanently, and it was the best thing I ever did. The staff is very nice, and they make sure to do as much as they can.

I am very happy with my eyebrows now. Before I used to have to get up extra early just to do my eyebrows, but now I can just get up and go. It's great, and I couldn't be happier.

had a brazilian wax there...never again! i had quite a few brazilians done before, but it never hurt as much as it did there. the esthetician also made me feel quite uncomfortable, as i had to hold the skin down there myself, and pull here and there - some people might to do like that in front of other people, i dont! also, i had to wait quite a while (at least half an hour) even though i had an appointment! and in the room on the cupboards were some hair from the previous person! with the abundance of beauty and hair removal studios in vanocuver, i would recommend to find another place (for waxing at least, i dont know about their other services!)

Hello. My name is Lorraine and I found that " Élan" was the only salon I could find in Vancouver that did first class permanent  make-up. My story is that I had very thin and sparse eyebrows and I also wanted a higher brow line.

I removed my true brow line and went to see Tammy at " Élan" and explained what I wanted. I had no brow line for Tammy to follow. She had to draw new brows for me which is like painting on a blank canvas.

Tammy gave me a new set of Eye Brows that women be proud to have. I recently had to see a plastic surgeon and I told him about my eye brows and he said that Tammy did such a wonderful job that even as a plastic surgeon, sometimes brow lifts don't result as well as the job that Tammy did on me.  

I highly  recommend Tammy for her technique, the sterilization procedures, her vast knowledge, and her kindness. I have already recommended her to many friends that are seeking permanent make-up. Tammy also did permanent eyeliner on my upper lid....... and it  looks Great !!!
